Bespoke Bicycles is a Fort Greene, Brooklyn bike shop for the community. We're a full-service bike shop that caters to everyone, whether you're a bike fanatic, a commuter, a casual rider, or even completely new to bicycles.

We sell bikes, obviously. We do all manner of repairs, buy and sell used bikes, and build custom wheels and complete bicycles.

Used? Yep. As of late last year, we started buying and selling used bikes and parts. Stop by any time to see what we've got on hand. If you have a bike you would like to sell us, bring it by, we'll take a look and if we like it, we'll make you an offer. At this time, we won't consider buying adult tricycles, recumbents, electric- or gas-powered bikes. Oh, and please bring your ID.

As the 'Bespoke' in our name implies, we also build bikes. We'll order a frame, or use one you have, and custom build a bicycle to your specifications. Check out some of what we've done here!

OK, so what do we like for real? I guess you could call us functionalists. We like bikes that do what we need them to do, don't sacrifice function for style, and are made well enough that they'll last a long time. We think most bikes these days look overly high-tech, plastic-y and "designed," and they seem like they're marketed a lot better than they're made.

Most of the bikes we sell are made of steel. We believe it's the best material for most bikes for most people. Contrary to popular opinion, it's not particularly heavy (unless you make it that way), and it produces what we think are the most effective, comfortable bikes for most purposes.

And that about sums it up. We believe in effective, comfortable, and importantly, useful bikes.
